50 Cent says, "You aren't helping Mr politician, things are getting worse..."
50 Cent has been rather vocal lately regarding social reform in this world. As he continues his Street Kingz campaign to feed 1 billion African people, he has taken time out to vent his frustrations about the "system".
"How f*cked up that we have evidence that the big Banks have been corrupt, yet our governments aren't punishing those that have stolen from the pension funds. Our Politicians are puppets for whoever pays them into office. That's how !!ed our system is. Their broken promises for change cant happen especially when the system is corrupt. And children who need a meal go without because our politicians won't stop thinking of themselves long enough or how to win the next election, too look around them and see how bad it is."
"[If] a company isn't giving back, stop buying from them. Buy a pair of shoes from TOMS (who give another pair to someone in need), look for companies that aren't paying lip service to community / charity. We are more powerful than the big business and politicians realize……we have the power to stop buying their products, banking with them. Your dollar, that you worked hard for, does have power. Together we can say – WAKE UP A-HOLES! The game is over."
50 Cent even went on to salute those involved in the "Occupy" movement.
"[I] want to shout out to Occupy Wall Street groups around the world. You are waking up the world, including me. Please keep up the peaceful protest, you are making a difference."

Terrell Owens assistant contends he did not attempt suicide
For the second time in 5 years, Terrell Owens has been involved in an alleged "suicide attempt". Fox news reports:
A publicist for football star Terrell Owens says he "absolutely" did not attempt suicide or overdose on pills earlier this month, despite reports based off a 911 call from the athlete's house.
In a statement, publicist Diana Bianchini says an assistant arrived at Owens' home on Oct. 6 after he had taken a sleeping aid to fall asleep.
The assistant did not realize that, became concerned and called 911. Bianchini says that when police arrived, Owens was responsive.
Bianchini says "reports released with the 911 call (Thursday) are misleading and not factual."
On Thursday, TMZ said it obtained the 911 call placed moments before Owens was rushed to an L.A. hospital for a possible pill overdose. According to his assistant, the NFL and reality star was trying to kill himself, TMZ said.
During the call, placed at 11:02 p.m., the dispatcher asks the assistant "Was this a suicide attempt?" -- and she responds, "Yes, I believe so."
While she was on the phone with the dispatcher, the woman claims Owens was "talking to his girlfriend, ex-girlfriend ... [I]don't really know what you wanna call it," TMZ reported.
Owens was hospitalized in 2006 when he insisted he had a bad reaction to painkillers, despite reports that he tried to commit suicide by inhaling 35 Vicodin pills.

50 Cent comments on Carter IV sales
50 Cent, who is not alone in this, doesn't believe the reported first week sales of Lil Wayne's album, Carter IV, are 100% legit. Fif had this to say when asked about the subject by Global Grind:
"To be honest with you, Lil Wayne sales are a little suspect to me. Because it was trending 600,000 pieces that week. And they didn't do a million copies, it was like 900,000."
"Tha Carter III commanded that energy, but the last one that just came out, those numbers are funny."

Another win for the Money Team
On Wednesday (October 26) Floyd Mayweather was found not guilty in a misdemeanor harassment suit. The charges stem from an incident where allegedly Mayweather threatened the lives of two homeowner association security guards in an argument about parking tickets outside the boxer's Las Vegas home. ESPN reports:
Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Diana Sullivan said she wasn't convinced that the guards feared any threat would be carried out. Even the guards testified under questioning by Wright they would have preferred not to take the case to trial.
"If this wasn't Floyd Mayweather, we wouldn't have been in court," attorney Richard Wright said outside the downtown Clark County Regional Justice Center. "Any other case would have resolved with an offer of an apology and a handshake."
Big Sean side steps a sexual assualt charge
Detroit native Big Sean has side stepped his sexual assault charge by accepting a plea deal. As reported on Hip Hop Wired:
Sean, 23, was arrested in August during a concert in Buffalo, NY after a 17-year-old girl told police the rapper and his friend sexually assaulted her.
Sean, real name Sean Michael Anderson, was charged with 3rd degree sex abuse, forcible touching and 2nd degree unlawful imprisonment.
Now however, TMZ has learned that prosecutors agreed to drop the first two charges on the condition that Big Sean plead guilty to misdemeanor unlawful imprisonment which carries a $750 fine.
Sean's lawyer Scott Leemon tells TMZ, the rapper has accepted the terms -- and has paid the fine -- but still insists "he did not engage in any type of sexual misconduct."
50 plans to drop his album in December and feed a billion Africans
In a recent interview with Global Grind, 50 Cent discussed his future plans including Street Kings, his new LP coming in December and feeding people in Africa. Here are some excerpts from the interview:
"I was touring in Africa and the circumstances I grew up in, I thought they were harsh, and in the past I make references to my experiences, as I’m from the bottom. And then when you get there, you see people under far harder circumstances. It even makes you look at yourself and some of the decisions you made based on being in the position that I was in at that point. It made me reevaluate my own experiences. It’s easier to see someone else’s imperfections then it is to see your own. That was my initial reasoning for going the route that I went. There was nothing there, I got nothing to lose. When you see people in far worse circumstances... I mean, I grew up without money, but not being hungry."

Though it is unclear exactly what was said, Webbie hasn't been biting his tongue on the incident. He recently called into a radio show in Chicago to discuss the incident. Here's what Webbie had to say:
“It ain’t nothing against me and BET. BET, I love BET, I’ve been watching BET all my life. I am BET, BET is black entertainment, you know what I’m saying?” Webbie explained to the morning show.”That was some personal stuff, you know with Rocsi and Terrence you know, that’s his old lady I guess. Go look at the computer, look at the Vibe Magazine and that’s what happened.”

I tell these girls if you get pregnant early take care of that baby 'cause that's your fault. Don't get pregnant early, go be somebody. This on a busta that needs to get his h*e."
"He aint worth it, but I'll just tell him he better be cool 'cause everywhere I've been going I got the streets in my pocket," he said. "And they telling me 'we gonna beat him up' and I don't even be knowing these dudes. But every corner I hit they know so he better stay inside."

Man behind Eddie Long's new legal woes...
This story was reported last week by Allhiphop.com, but now it seems that this story has some relation to Eddie Long. Check it out:
A well known business executive who bills himself as “America’s youngest African American CEO of a public company” is being accused of bilking investors out of tens of millions of dollars.
A 100-page-plus class action lawsuit was filed against Ephren Taylor earlier this week, claiming he and other individuals operated a ponzi scheme preyed upon hard working church goers.
The lawsuit claims Taylor, who also managed a $1 million endowment for Snoop Dogg’s Youth Football league, wasted investors’ money and cost some, their entire life savings.
“Today is the first step in achieving justice for hundreds of victims whose tens of millions were supposed to go toward ‘socially conscious’ investments, but instead enriched Ephren Taylor and his cohorts,” said Cathy J. Lerman, Founder of Cathy Jackson Lerman, PA, which is representing the disgruntled investors, along with several other attorneys.
“This self-described minister who targeted and bilked hard-working, devout minorities for his own financial gain must be brought to justice,” Lerman said.
According to Ephren Taylor’s official bio, his company City Capital Corporation oversees over $100 million in assets.
He began his career at the age of 12 with his own video game company and by 16, was a multimillionaire.
Ephren Taylor is facing charges that include wire fraud, interstate transportation of stolen property, money laundering, racketeering, violations of the RICO Act and a number of other serious violations.

Texas Prisoners won't get lunch on weekends
This is pure foolishness. Hip-Hop Wired reports:
In what was labeled as a cost-cutting move, since April, some Texas prisons have stopped providing inmates with lunch on the weekend.
By not feeding inmates three meals a day on Saturday and Sunday, the Texas prison system thinks it will save upward of $2.8 million. Other ways the Texas Department of Criminal Justice plans to cut cost include replacing carton milk with a powder substitute and using regular bread for hamburger and hot dog buns, according to a report by the New York Times.
Last month Texas officials also did away with the age-old practice of providing inmates that are about to be executed with a last meal.

Eminem discusses some of the lingering effects of drug use
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, rap superstar Eminem explained how drug use has effected his life.
“A lot of my memory is gone. I don’t know if you’ve ever taken Ambien, but it’s kind of a memory-eraser. That s**t wiped out five years of my life. People will tell me stories, and it’s like, ‘I did that?’ I saw myself doing this thing on BET (TV network) recently, and I was like, ‘When was that?’”
Just say no, kids!

Bishop Long's accusers take hush money, but refuse to stay quiet
Even after receiving a large pay-out to remain quiet about the details and settlements involving the case, Eddie Long's accusers are still talking. Hip Hop Wired reports:

Long's attorneys are looking to collect $300,000 per violation.

DMX continues to strive to conquer his addiction
As a die hard DMX fan, it was always hard for me to watch his career spiral out of control. But, it appears that he's as clean as he's been in years. Here's what X had to say:
"Everyone was taking advantage of me with my finances, trying to put me in the direction to fail."
"I have 10 kids. I have to drive them in the right direction, so I let the cocaine go," he said.
"I am on a spiritual road to do right in my life. I am leaving out all negativity and going to stay on the right road to positive."
X's pastor even issued a statement on the rapper's behalf:
"When [DMX] first came to my church he looked broken, sad, and full of struggle. Now you see a dramatic change. You see that the drugs and alcohol aren't in his life."

Meth is "sober as a priest"
Method Man has a career that spans over a 15 years. And for most of that time, Johnny Blaze has been largely recognized for his favorite recreational activity...smoking marijuana. Though he co-stared in the 2001 movie, "How High", he has never tried to be an advocate for marijuana. It also seems that now, he wants to be known for more than his recreational activities. Meth told Vibe Magazine:
"I"don't want that every time you hear Method Man's name you associate it with getting high or marijuana because there's so much more to me than that. I'm not actually distancing myself from my marijuana culture people but it's not in the forefront anymore. I got kids to raise, man. Plus it was never really that bad. It gets comes to a point where no matter where you go they're always thinking you're high. And I'm not always high. I mean right now I'm sober as a priest."
Currently, Method Man is on The Smoker's Club Tour with Curren$y and Big K.R.I.T.

Five Industry "Secrets" WE'VE BEEN TELLING YOU ABOUT...
Record companies and managers would bribe radio DJ's to give their artists radio play. Although illegal, this practice has never stopped and continues to be used today, albeit in more subtle forms. Rule # 4080 still applies and the methods industry execs use have evolved over time.
With the rise in new technology and the dominance of the internet threatening the music industry's outdated business model, new “questionable” tactics have been developed to help labels stay afloat. Here are just 5 secrets the music industry doesn't want you to know!
1. YouTube views, Facebook “Likes”, and Twitter followers can be bought for a moderate fee: There are now dozens of companies who specialize in increasing numbers. Some companies use special technology to achieve their goals while others claim to be able to get thousands of “real” followers. If that weren't crazy enough, “positive” YouTube comments supposedly written by real people can also be purchased!
This kind of practice is deceptive as hell and makes it difficult for aspiring artists who have to compete against those who have the means to buy such services. I guess quality doesn't matter when you can just buy your way to popularity.
2. Buying the # 1 Spot: Once YouTube Views, Facebook “Likes”, and Twitter followers have been bought, it's time for the label to really go all out and buy thousands of CD's and downloads to help the artist get to # 1 within the first couple of weeks of release. Since sales have been declining due to free and illegal downloads, it's become more and more challenging for artists to hit the top of the charts.
This is why some labels are buying their own products (often with the artist's money), in hope that achieving # 1 will generate publicity and result in more sales and touring opportunities. The idea is that the average fan is more likely to support an artist who appears to have a large following. It's all about image and perception, and for today's mainstream music fan, this counts more than talent.
3. Professional Reviewers: Ever read customer reviews on Amazon or iTunes? Some are brief, misspelled, and poorly thought out while others are thorough and clearly expressed, almost as if a “professional” had written it. Shockingly, that's exactly what's happening!
Writers are paid to act like customers and write positive reviews. Sometimes, these writers are simply part of the artist's team, other times, they're professional writers who get hired for their review services. Companies have gotten in trouble for this kind of practice but this hasn't stopped it from happening. Again, this makes it difficult for new artists who don't have the means to compete against this kind of deception.
4. Wardrobe Malfunctions, Nude Pics, and Sex Videos: Every week, there seems to be another naked celebrity in the news: Nicki Minaj and Kelly Rowland's wardrobe malfunctions a couple of days apart from each other, Rhianna's explicit pics popping up regularly, and sex videos of B and C list entertainers leaked on every gossip site.
Why do artists continue to perform in outfits that barely cover them up and then act shocked when a breast pops out? Truth is, most of these incidents are planned by the artists and their team for publicity. As soon as the pictures or videos are leaked, hundreds of blogs and sites repost them right away.
Millions of Facebook and Twitter users repost them as well. In a matter of 24 to 48 hours, that artist is Googled millions of times which causes their name to “Trend” online or on Twitter and increases their search ranking. For the artist, this is an amazing free promotional tool that would otherwise cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in marketing.
All it takes is a little nudity and the public becomes their street team, their sales increase, the gossip sites have new content that drives traffic to them, and everyone's happy…except for real artists with real talent who can't get the same “free” promotion because they're more interested in making music than showing their rear-ends and boobs.
5. Fake Beef, Phony Stories, and Controversy: Replace wardrobe issues, nude pics, and sex videos with fake beef, phony stories, and controversy and the result is the same: free publicity.
Did Soulja Boy buy himself a $55 million jet for his 21st birthday? Is Rick Ross really threatening Kreayshawn? Did Wayne really take shots at Jay Z? Does Kanye actually have 6 toes? Ok, I made that one up but you get the idea!
When an artist, or an assistant pretending to be them, tweets something weird, crazy, unusual, or controversial, they know that it'll spread in a matter of hours and eventually make the top blogs and gossip sites who welcome this kind of foolishness. And again, everyone seems to get something out of it. There was a time when this type of nonsense would have hurt an artist's career. Now, it sustains it…and that's pitiful.
Vanilla Ice goes from Rap to Real Estate

Lupe responds to 50 Cent "Kick, Push" Line...
50 Cent name dropped Lupe in his latest track 50's My Favorite"(SK #11), and now the "Kick, Push" rapper has responded.
"That's fine, 50's a good guy," Fiasco said when asked for his reaction. "I got a chance to peform with him and tour with him for a little bit. You know? I don't really look at it as a diss. I just look at it as I got fans in high places I guess.
"So, [laughs], it's all fine with me. I'm not really tripping...[Lyrical battles?] I always keep that in the chamber. They know what's up. At the end of the day, they know what's up. We'll just leave it at that. But, that's negativity. We going back to the positive."

The chairman and co-founder of Apple, Inc. Steve Jobs passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. After years of struggling with liver issues, Jobs finally succumbed to his health issues.

Uncle Luke gives Diddy, Lil Wayne and Dj Khaled a deadline! Threatens to flex his muscle in Miami!
Apparently, Uncle Luke a.k.a. Luther Campbell, isn't too happy with rappers coming to Dade County setting up shop and not showing respect. In a recent interview with Miami New Times Luke had this to say:
"I've got a message for Lil Wayne, his Cash Money Brothers, DJ Khaled, Puff Daddy and all the rappers from other parts of the country who now live in Miami," he wrote October 4th. "I'm tired of seeing these cats using up our beaches, soaking up our sunshine, taking over the nightclubs, and sleeping with our women without investing anything into the community. I want to know when Lil Wayne is going to do more than show up courtside at the American Airlines Arena. H*ll, it's not like he paid for them anyway. You know he got comped. This free loading and mooching of my city has got to stop. There used to be a day when out of town rappers were scared to throw their weight around Miami. It didn't matter if they were coming from New York or Los Angeles, they knew better than to act like they owned this mother f*cker."
He went on to issue this warning:
"I'm giving them a deadline. They got until January 1. If I don't see them giving back to the Magic City, I'm gonna have their Miami cards revoked. They won't be getting into any more nightclubs. They won't be able to go near our women. And Lil Wayne is gonna have to find floor seats for New Orleans Hornets home games because he won't be allowed inside the Triple A."
Make it hot!!!
Dag Diddy!
Well it looks like it's been an eventful last 7 days for Diddy. Off the heels of Forbes prediction that Diddy would become raps first billionaire, his name has come up in 3 completely unrelated stories this past week.
First, it was the incident that happened at an after party for the Hip-Hop Awards, co-hosted by special guest, recently freed, T.I.
Well apparently, while on the microphone at the after party, Diddy (who owns liquor company Ciroc) took offense to someone drinking Grey Goose in his site. Diddy took the opportunity to confront the man and according to reports, throw a piece of ice at the gentleman who was apart of Kenny Burns entourage. And...well, I'll allow the video footage to tell the rest of this story. Peep:
In the aftermath, Diddy apologized via twitter, Kenny Burns insists there is no beef between he and Diddy, and T.I., here's what he had to say:
Secondly, the age old rumors that Suge Knight and Diddy were behind the shooting deaths of Tupace Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. are the topic of the new book, "Murder Rap" written by former LAPD detective, Greg Kading. Kading claims to have "extensive tapes and documents containing confessions from key players behind the alleged assassinations of Shakur and Smalls."
Diddy's response: "This story is pure fiction and completely ridiculous."
