For anyone who didn't get the memo, No Malice is no longer into his former lifestyle. It's almost like the difference between Saul and Paul. The latter being the grown up version of the former. Here is what No Malice had to say when he spoke with Rapzilla.com at SXSW:
"People keep asking me about this Clipse album. I've been very clear. I've been very consistent from the beginning. I don't know why I have to keep answering this question, but I don't do that music anymore," No Malice said in a fit of frustration.

DeSean Jackson saif he wasn't cut over alleged gang ties
Earlier this morning on The Vincent Tucker Radio Show, we reported that DeSean Jackson had been cut from the Philadelphia Eagles for his alleged gang ties. Whether that is entirely accurate is still in question at this time, but one thing is true: DeSean Jackson is no longer a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. Hip Hop Wired has more:
A recent NJ.com article may have played a part in All-Pro wide receiver DeSean Jackson's release from the Philadelphia Eagles according to speculation. The post described how Jackson had started up a friendship with a Los Angeles Crips game whom had been responsible for two homicides in 2010. This friendship or even loose affiliation forced the Eagles hand in cutting him without any stipulations or ties.
Reports NJ.com:
DeSean Jackson was nowhere near the scene of the crime when, on Dec. 29, 2010, 14-year-old Taburi Watson flashed a rival gang sign at two men as he rode his bicycle through South Los Angeles.
The men, reportedly members of the Crips, responded to the teen's provocative gesture by shooting him multiple times, police said. Paramedics pronounced Watson dead at the scene.
"DeSean Jackson was not part of the case," Jane Robison, a spokesman for the LA District Attorney's Office, told NJ.com. "He was not a charged defendant. He was not a witness."
Jackson was, however, associated with Theron Shakir, one of the two men charged with the murder. Along with co-defendant Marques Binns, Shakir is a purported member of the Crips. In addition, Shakir, known as "T-Ron," is a rapper who recorded for Jaccpot Records, a label owned by Jackson. The two were close enough that they appear together frequently in photographs -- including pictures posted by Jackson to Instagram while Shakir sat in jail awaiting trial for the teen's execution.
Despite having nothing else to lose on his part in Philly, Jackson vehemently denied the allegations in a statement which read:
"I would like to address the misleading and unfounded reports that my release has anything to do with any affiliation that has been speculated surrounding the company I keep off of the field. I would like to make it very clear that I am not and never have been part of any gang. I am not a gang member and to speculate and assume that I am involved in such activity off the field is reckless and irresponsible.
"I work very hard on and off the field and I am a good person with good values. I am proud of the accomplishments that I have made both on and off the field. I have worked tirelessly to give back to my community and have a positive impact on those in need. It is unfortunate that I now have to defend myself and my intentions.
"These reports are irresponsible and just not true . I look forward to working hard for my new team. God Bless."
A keen observation notices that Jackson's Instagram handle "Jaccpot10" makes reference to his jersey number and first part of his name, only the "k" is replaced with a "c" as Crips are known to rewrite anything containing the letters "ck" sequentially as it stands for "Crip Killer."

Benzino shot the way to his mother's funeral
Rapper turned reality TV star, Benzino, was shot earlier today while he was on his way to his mother's funeral. Hip Hop Wired has more on the developing story:
Born Raymond Scott, the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta cast member was driving a red Dodge SUV that got shot at by someone who reportedly driving a Bentley.
According WCVB the shooting occurred on Route 3 in Duxbury, Mass. while Benzino was on the way to his mother's funeral.
Benzino was the only gunshot victim. Reportedly his injury is non-fatal and he was taken to the Duxbury police station by a passerby before eventually being transported to South Shore hospital.
The Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz, told WCVB that the occupants of the vehicles knew each other.
The Boston Globe reports that the procession was heading to St. Peter's Church in Plymouth and although the family arrived late, the funeral did occur. Allegedly the violence was sparked over an argument between family members, but this has not been confirmed.
The driver of the Bentley has been arrested and will be charged with attempted murder.

Aaron McGruder explains why he's moving on from The Boondocks
So we previously reported that The Boondocks would be making it's return to Adult Swim this spring. Naturally, because it was his brain-child, we assumed that Aaron McGruder would be apart of the new season of the animated series as well. Apparently, we assumed wrong. McGruder had this to say via his Facebook page:
As the world now knows, The Boondocks will be returning for a fourth season, but I will not be returning with it. I'd like to extend my gratitude to Sony and Adult Swim for three great seasons.
I created The Boondocks two decades ago in college, did the daily comic for six years, and was showrunner on the animated series for the first three seasons. The Boondocks pretty much represents my life's work to this point. Huey, Riley, and Granddad are not just property to me. They are my fictional blood relatives. Nothing is more painful than to leave them behind.
To quote a great white man, “Hollywood is a business”. And to quote another great white man, “Don't hold grudges”.
What has never been lost on me is the enormous responsibility that came with The Boondocks - particularly the television show and it's relatively young audience. It was important to offend, but equally important to offend for the right reasons. For three seasons I personally navigated this show through the minefields of controversy. It was not perfect. And it definitely was not quick. But it was always done with a keen sense of duty, history, culture, and love. Anything less would have been simply unacceptable.
As for me, I'm finally putting a life of controversy and troublemaking behind me with my upcoming Adult Swim show, BLACK JESUS.

Charlamagne tha God: "SXSW was one big corperate circle jerk."
I haven't been to SXSW in a few years, but it appears that the festival is losing what made it so successful in the first place. First there was the incident with that stuggling rapper driving a stolen car the wrong way down a one way street. Artists like Tyler the Creator being arrested for inciting a riot. On Monday morning, Charlamagne tha God, who took part in the Woody Awards, referred to SXSW as "one big corporate circle jerk". Being that I wasn't in attendance, I can neither agree nor disagree with that statement. But one person did agree: TDE's own Schoolboy Q. Allhiphop.com reports:
Less than a week after Schoolboy Q voiced his regret of Top Dawg Entertainment signing with a major label, he derides South By South West for its apparent change for new artist discovery to another corporate industry event.
According to Q an in interview with The Associated Press, the event has lost its focus on the independent artist and become “corporate”:
Q’s SXSW was one full of technical difficulties. Q was apparently denied entry into 50 Cent’s SXSW performance days before his Spin Day Party appearance

It’s stupid. They changed it all up. It’s corporate. I don’t ever want to come back unless they change it to where the fans are in. I’m tired of performing and seeing my fans outside the gate. … That’s not fair. It’s not about the fans no more, it’s all about money, who can give you the best look. The article stated that the interview took place this past Saturday (March 14) as he prepared for a show, which may have been his performance at Spin Magazine’s Spin Day Party. Following his performance, Q sent out a few tweets from his personal Twitter account complaining about his set and SXSW as an event.

A Texas man kills a teen boy hiding in his daughter's room
I've made jokes about protecting my future daughter (if I ever have one) and the young girls in my life from these knuckle head boys out here, but sheesh! I'm not sure I could ever actually kill a young boy for sneaking around with a young girl in my life. But, one Texas father couldn't seem to control his rage. Hip Hop Wired reports:
In Harris County, Texas, a mother is grieving the loss of her 17-year-old son after he was shot and killed by a father who discovered him in his daughter's bedroom early Thursday morning. The family of Johran McCormick believes that man overreacted, and desperately want an explanation behind the tragic event.
Around 2:30 a.m., the unidentified 55-year-old dad was awakened by one of his children who said they saw a pair of feet sticking out from under his 16-year-old daughter's bed. After confronting the boy with his handgun in tow, the daughter told her dad that she didn't know McCormick although detectives discovered she actually let the boy into her room.
The father claims that he say McCormick reach for a weapon, causing him to unload his firearm and killing the teenager. No other injuries were reported, although the father was rushed to the nearby hospital after complaining of not feeling well.
McCormick's mother, Zakia McCormick, spoke with local news station KHOU and expressed not only grief but also disappointment over the father killing her son. Ms. McCormick also would like some form of apology from the man.
"I would like my baby back, but I know that's not possible," said Ms. McCormick. "A call you know, I'm sorry. He didn't deserve to die like that."
In the KHOU news report, neighbors say the father was a strict disciplinarian who didn't let his daughter do much outside the home. Not much else is known of the girl and as of now, the father has not been charged with any wrongdoing.
Neighbors also weighed in saying that while they understood the father was simply protecting his home, they said he should have allowed the authorities to handle the situation.
The incident took place in the town of Spring, which is part of the Houston metropolitan area.

North Carolina rapper Petey Pablo released from prison after 2 years
Now, while the world may have forgotten about Petey Pablo, I haven't. I was just listening to "Rep Yo City" with him E-40, Bun-B and Eightball last week. Good to see him come home. TMZ reports:
Petey was arrested at Raleigh Durham Airport on SEPTEMBER 11, 2010 ... after cops say he tried to take a stolen gun through airport security.
Pablo was sentenced to 35 months behind bars at a federal prison ... but was released today, 4 months ahead of schedule.
Pablo now says he wants to return to hip-hop ... and has already hooked up with Timbaland.
"I'm now headed to the work shop," Pablo says ... "To begin what will be noted as my best work ever with one of the greatest producers of all time."
"See ya in a few, shirt still spinning!"

The news comes after the confirmed announcement that The Boondocks is returning to the network for a fourth season next month.

A New York woman charged with manslaughter over botched butt implant attempt
In the latest "Butt Implants Gone Wrong" news, a New York woman Tamira Mobley is up on a murder rap after giving Tamara Blaine butt injections at a Liberty Inn Hotel in Manhattan. Hip Hop Wired reports:
The 22-year-old-woman suffered a seizure shortly after and was pronounced dead on July 8, 2013.
Mobley is now being charged with manslaughter after the coroner ruled the struggle a homicide.
Via NYDailyNews:
The medical examiner ruled Blaine's death a homicide Oct. 7, noting the puncture wounds in her buttocks. The official cause of death was “a systemic silicone emboly due to a cosmetic silicone injection of the buttocks,” officials said.
On Monday, cops busted self-described cosmetologist Tamira Mobley, 28, of Wood-Ridge, N.J., and charged her with manslaughter and felony assault. Sources said she killed the victim during a botched butt lift using silicone.
Mobley, who has a previous arrest for forgery in the Garden State, was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court on Tuesday. Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Bruna DiBiase ordered Mobley held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
On the day of the incident, Mobley used her credit card to pay for a room at the Liberty Inn, which bills itself as “your rendezvous for romance” and has hourly rates. About two hours later, she called the front desk and told an employee to call 911 because Blaine was having a seizure.
To say botched butt injections and such has become an epidemic wouldn't edge the realm of hyperbole, either.
Pebbelz Da Model was recently sentenced to seven years in prison for her needle neglience and a similar tragedy happened in June 2013 in Florida.
Mobley appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court on Tuesday, frazzled and stonefaced. No report as of yet what she will plea.

Jeresy drug dealer uses his 2 year old son to hold his stash
Though I understand the logic behind using a child to carry drugs, the thought of someone actually thinking it's a good idea is absolutely asinine. I mean, of course, no one would think to check a 2 year old for drugs right? Wrong! And it seems that a Jersey man by the name of Phillip Young learned this lesson the hard way. Hip Hop Wired reports:
The New Jersey man charged with endangering the welfare of a child after teachers at his two-year-old's day care center discovered 48 envelopes of heroin hidden within his jacket.
Which is definitely the wrong way to give a preschooler the jump on their multiplication skills.
Reports NorthJersey.com:
An employee at the center, Michael's Energy Factory, found the drugs in the child's jacket, police said. There's no indication that the child knew the drugs were in the jacket, nor any sign that other children at the center were exposed to the heroin, police said.
Officials at the center called the police when they found the heroin, police said.
Lt. Bert Ribeiro said police determined that the child had been accompanied to the day care that morning by its father. City police have charged the father, Phillips Young, 27, of East 30th Street, with endangering the welfare of a child, Ribeiro said.

Ride Along 2 scheduled to be released MLK weekend in 2016
Quickly after breaking box office records earlier this year, there were already reports that Ice Cube and Kevin Hart would go on to do a sequel to their highly successful blockbuster film, Ride Along. Seeing as how this one dropped on MLK weekend, it's only fitting that the sequel is scheduled to drop around the same time. Allhiphop.com reports:
Kevin Hart and Ice Cube are looking to make Black history again during Martin Luther King Jr weekend. Today (March 14th), Universal Pictures announced that the sequel to their hit movie Ride Along will be released during Martin Luther King Jr weekend in 2016.

Hart and Ride Along producer William Packer are preparing to release The Wedding Ringer on January 16th, 2015. The movie finds Hart as a stand-in best man hired by a socially awkward groom.
With Martin Luther King Jr Day falling on January 18th in 2016, you can expect, Ride Along 2 to be released on January 15th, 2016.

Gas leak causes explosion in Harlem leaving 2 deceased and more injured
There was an explosion in Harlem earlier this morning. Apparently there was a gas leak that caused the explosion and two buidlings to collapse. CNN.com reports:
A gas leak unleashed a massive explosion and raging fire in Manhattan's East Harlem Wednesday, leveling two five-story apartment buildings, killing two people and wounding dozens of others, authorities said.

Mississippi man wakes up moments before being embalmed
Have you ever had a dream that you were dead? I have. It's not fun. But, I can imagine how much more freightening it would be to wake up in a body bag like Walter Williams, a Lexington, MS man who was pronounced dead only to wake up moments before he was to be embalmed. Hip Hop Wired reports:
Reports WAPT16:
The coroner said he checked Williams' pulse about 9 p.m. Wednesday and pronounced him dead at his home in Lexington.
After the coroner helped move Williams to Porter and Sons Funeral Home, workers were getting ready to embalm him, but that's when he started to move.
Byron Porter said it's the first time he's ever seen anything like it. Williams' was inside the zipped-up body bag and kicking to get out.
"I asked the coroner what happened, and the only thing he could say is that it's a miracle," Holmes County Sheriff Willie March said.
According to the coroner, Williams' pacemaker apparently stopped working, allowing for him to pass as a dead man for the moment.

O'Reilly calls Jay-Z and Kanye West "a fundamental disease"
While I don't co-sign nor do I agree that either of the two artists named are a "fundamental disease", I do agree with what is being implied here. Bill O'Reilly has come out and stated that Jay-Z and Kanye West are the biggest issue regarding the conditions of young minority men. Hip Hop Wired reports:
President Barack Obama had invited O'Reilly to the launch of his new initiative called "My Brother's Keeper" earlier Thursday. The program aims to create opportunities and improve conditions for young minority men, but O'Reilly said he doesn't believe the White House sees the "urgency" of the situation in the streets.
"You have to attack the fundamental disease if you want to cure it," O'Reilly told Jarrett. "Now I submit to you that you're gonna have to get people like Jay Z, Kanye West, all these gangsta rappers to knock it off."
"They idolize these guys with the hats on backwards, and the terrible rap lyrics and the drug and all of that," he continued, adding that high-profile figures need to hammer young people with that message to "reverse the peer pressure."

"They idolize these guys with the hats on backwards, and the terrible rap lyrics and the drug and all of that," he continued, adding that high-profile figures need to hammer young people with that message to "reverse the peer pressure."
Racial tension grows on UCLA campus
33 Black students in a student body that is roughly 1000 students. Talk about numbers being disproportionate. Well that's the current situation going on at the UCLA School of Law. Racial tension has grown in recent weeks. Hip Hop Wired reports:
Black students at the UCLA School of Law have been rallying together against a growing presence of racism on the campus. After students questioned the support of a controversial law professor and created a video regarding the racial disparity at UCLA, some say they have been bombarded with bold racist attacks.
A critical point of the contention between Black and white law students began when students began to openly support professor Richard Sander, who has spoken at length about how he feels affirmative action doesn't help Black students and finds them to be ill-equipped.
White students wore “Team Sander” t-shirts in support of Professor Sander, angering the small but vocal Black student body at the school. After creating an awareness campaign about the racial divide and the aforementioned video, students say they have been getting vicious responses.
Above The Law Redline has more:
For reasons passing understanding, the video pissed a lot of people off. Undoubtedly, some, but not all, of the people who didn't like the video were also in fact racist. That subset of students decided to take things to a whole different level.
Students started ripping down posters and flyers put up by the Black Law Students Association on campus. One black woman complained that a white student stopped her in an elevator and questioned her about her "crime-ridden neighborhood." The crescendo was the "n-word" note that was left in a student's campus mailbox last week.
Above The Law writer Elie Mystal has been covering Professor Sander's tenure at the school and also followed up on the UCLA incidents. Mystal reached out to UCLA Law dean Rachel Moran, who said she has contacted the student that received the n-word note and has addressed the entire campus. Photos of the note, which read "stop being a sensitive n*gger," has been circulated online.
The UCLA police are investigating the alleged incidents, and Dean Moran says she will continue to focus on finding ways to ease the concerns of Black law students. Out of 994 students, only 33 are Black.
