A fiery crash that took place in California Thursday afternoon has claimed the lives of 10 people while injuring more than 30 others. Hip Hip Wired reports:
A nightmarish bus collision with a FedEx truck in northern California has claimed the lives of 10 people, including both drivers and several high school students.
The crash also left 33 people injured in the midst of a fiery explosion and endless scrap metal of wreckage.
Students were in route to a Humboldt State University campus visit when things went awry around 5:30pm yesterday, April 10.
ABC News reports:
The accident happened on Interstate 5 near Orland, Glenn County, in the northern part of the state. The FedEx truck crossed into oncoming traffic, striking a northbound car before colliding with the bus, California Highway Patrol officials told ABC News.
Flames engulfed the bus and truck, sending thick plumes of black smoke upward, the vehicles reduced to charred husks.
