First it was 40 Glocc, now rapper 211 had a face-off with Game. Allhiphop reports:
According to TMZ.com, the
two rappers were involved in an argument that escalated into an all out
brawl, during Lil Wayne’s 30th birthday party late Thursday, early
Friday morning.
The rappers were at a Hollywood nightclub celebrating with artists
like Chris Brown and Sean Kingston, when 211 allegedly approached Game.
Things quickly escalated and Game allegedly punched 211, causing a fight to break out.
Security guards contained the melee and booted Game from the nightclub.
In late September 2011, 211, who is affiliated with CTE, filmed an
attack on rapper Boskoe, who was assaulted by Jomo “Rosemo700″ Zambia.
Rosemo700
was also beefing with Game at the time, until Rosemo700 was murdered in
broad daylight in November of 2011, during a drive-by shooting in
Inglewood, California.

Altercations between the MMG, Young Jeezy's and 50 Cent's crews at BET Hip Hop Awards
Sooner or later people will learn that you can't have an award show for rappers. The Source, Vibe and OZONE Awards have all dealt with brawls breaking out, and now we can add BET Hip Hop Awards to the list. Hip Hop Wired reports:
Details are still sketchy but Rick Ross and Young Jeezy allegedly exchanged words and scuffled backstage at the BET Hip Hop Awards, which were being taped tonight (September 29th) at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center.
Apparently the two rappers, who have hurled veiled and not so veiled shots at each other in rhyme—and who also happen to be Def Jam labelmates—heatedly exchanged words, which soon became shoving and pushing before both of their personal and BET's security teams stepped into separate them. After the altercation, which occurred while the award show was taping, someone from Ross' entourage allegedly fired gunshots while in the Civic Center's parking lot.
Source also say that 50 Cent and Rick Ross' camps, specifically Gunplay, got into a physical altercation. Source also said that Gunplay, who was rolling with Ross when he walked the red carpet, had been arrested but MTV News reports that the 106 & Snort rapper was only detained.

Vince Young denies being broke because of Cheesecake Factory
Last week the internet started whispering about former NFL quarterback, Vince Young, was broke because of an addiction to the Cheesecake Factory. This week he's deny that. Hip Hop Wired reports:
Vince Young's bank account may not have as many zeroes as it used to, but be clear: he's not broke. The former Tennessee Titan blew through his fortune, spending thousands of dollars on his teammates, friends, and meals at the Cheesecake Factory (allegedly), but now he's firing back.Young posted messages on his Twitter page confirming his financial hardship, but doesn't want America to get the story twisted. “I can't really talk much about it, we definitely in court with it,” he told AM 1300's The Zone. “Me being who I am I just took a chance in finding out some things about my finances and I feel like it wasn't in the right place it needed to be, so I really feel like it was good thing for me to do what I'm doing right now.”
Given his status, Young said that much of the stories have been blown out of proportion. As for the whole Cheesecake Factory situation, the 29-year-old denied that he always foots the bills. “Most of the time if I do go to those places, if we do pay a tab it's not just me paying a tab, it's all of us paying a tab.”
Going forward, Young hopes to get picked up by another NFL team, and has been focusing on training. If that doesn't work out, there are other opportunities for him. “Because you're not playing football it doesn't mean your life is over.”

Private Investigator doesn't believe Chris Lighty killed himself
It's been about a month now, and people are still struggling with the thought of Chris Lighty committing suicide. Now, a PI is also questioning the suicide theory. Hip Hop Wired reports:
The private investigator hired by the late Chris Lighty's mother does not believe the Hip-Hop mogul committed suicide last month. Lisa Evers of Fox 5 (also of Hot 97's Street Soldiers program) continues to follow the case closely spoke with the lead investigator, Les Levine, about his ongoing case.
"I guess it comes down to the bottom question: Do I believe Chris would kill himself?' The answer is no," Levine told Fox 5.
Although Levine was hired by Lighty's mother, 50 Cent provided the funds. A longtime client of Lighty's Violator Management, 50 also revealed that they had secured a lucrative tour that could have netted them $4M. This is one of the reasons the rapper, and Levine, is dismissive of any theories that Lighty's finances led to him taking his own life.
Levine also isn't convinced about the theory that despair over a turbulent marriage to Veronica Lighty caused Lighty's alleged suicide. However, Levine has not been able to speak to Veronica Lighty who is grieving and save for a trust fund set up for his children, is set to inherit his entire estate.
Scott Leemon, who is offering up his services pro bono, is leading the investigation and asks for anyone with information to send to: tips@leemonlaw.com.

Mayweather and Pacquiao settle lawsuit
This is not the way anyone wanted to see these two face off. But, at least for the moment, this is closest we're going get to seeing Mayweather and Pacquiao go head to head. Hip Hop Wired reports:
According to TMZ, documents show that the two have settled their defamation lawsuit stemming back from 2009. Back then, Manny Pacquiao had sued Floyd "Money"Mayweather for alleging that the boxer had used performance enhancing drugs to attain most of his success. Yesterday, legal documents were filed on behalf of both parties, stating the boxers had settled the matter entirely and Pacquiao agreed to drop his lawsuit.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Sr. released a joint statement Tuesday, saying that they "wish to make it clear that they never intended to claim that Manny Pacquiao has used or is using any performance-enhancing drugs."
Snoop discusses smoking with his son
Well, I don't think anyone should be surprised by this one. Maybe it's just me. Hip Hop Wired reports:
Last week, Twitter and the rest of the Internets were abuzz when Snoop Lion's (formerly Dogg) 18-year-old son Corde “Spanky Danky” Broadus posted a photo of him and his famous father toking on some sticky green. Causing a firestorm of comments from the blogosphere and beyond, the images shocked some who thought the legendary West Coast rhyme veteran displayed some irresponsible parenting. Keeping silent, Snoop didn't offer a response to the brouhaha until the release of a new Hollywood Reporter cover story yesterday in where he addresses the matter. For Snoop Lion, the pot smoking is no big deal.
“My kids can do whatever the hell they want," said Snoop in the Reporter interview. "For me to say otherwise would be hypocritical. A lot of motherf*****s don't have a relationship with their kids, and that's when they get on drugs and have suicidal thoughts and drive drunk.”
Snoop continued with, “Me and my son is mellow. I'm his father, so I wanna show him the proper way because he looks up to me. What better way to get it than from the master?"
Snoop Lion's mastery of Mary Jane is certainly no secret, this after bursting onto the scene twenty years ago as Dr. Dre's protégé on the seminal (and reefer-influenced) album The Chronic. Now at age 40, the married father of three is passing the torch – literally and otherwise – to Spanky Danky as he seeks to follow in his dad's rap footsteps. A former football standout, just as his father was, Spanky put his pigskin goals on hold and is looking to his dad for assistance in the music biz. While the proud dad is willing to lend a hand, he's not making it a cakewalk for his son.
“I see myself in him, but he needs to walk in his own shoes,” said Snoop Lion later in the interview regarding Danky's career.

Jerry Lawler collapses and is rushed to the hospital during a live broadcast
As I was watching the Kane match on WWE Raw tonight, I knew something was wrong after about 1-2 minutes of silence. Then when I looked up at the screen, no one in the audience was paying attention to the match...all heads were looking in the same direction. Michael Cole eventually broke the news and the Miami Herald has the story:
WWE commentator Michael Cole announced his broadcast partner Jerry The King Lawler was stretchered to the back from ringside during the later part of the live three-hour Monday Night Raw on the USA Network from the Bell Centre in Montreal.
Not part of the show, a somber Cole told the viewing audience that Lawler passed out, collapsed to the floor, during commentary mid-match. Lawler received medical attention immediately including CPR. He was taken to a nearby hospital.
Cole said Lawler was receiving oxygen, but he was breathing on his own. Cole later said on an update that Lawler was responsive to doctors, and Cole said Lawler is a fighter and encouraged him to get through it. There was no commentary for the later portion of the show out of respect to Lawler.
Earlier in the show, Lawler, 62, competed in a tag match, teaming with Randy Orton against WWE champ CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler.
Now as the broadcast went off the air, Michael Cole said that according to the hospital, Lawler was breathing on his own, his heart was beating on its own and they were preparing him for a CAT scan on his head and chest. So we will definitely pay attention to this one as details become more available.
***UPDATE***
According to reports, the King suffered a heart attack but is now stable.

Dallas woman killed by her "boyfriend" after telling him she was HIV positive
Well, it's hard for me to feel bad for anyone here except for the two children who discovered their mother's dead body. Hip Hop Wired reports:
A Dallas man has admitted to killing his girlfriend because she had HIV. Larry Dunn, confessed to police that he murdered Cicely Bolden who announced that she had the virus, after they had intercourse.
Dunn, 36, hadn't been dating Bolden for very long when she explained her status, telling him not to worry because it was "not that bad." Unfortunately he didn't see it that way. After she confessed, he went into the kitchen, grabbed a knife and stabbed her twice in the neck. "She killed me, so I killed her," Dunn is believed to have told police.
After taking her life, Dunn burned his clothes, and threw the knife away in a garbage can.
Bolden, a mother of two, was found by her children, and was naked from the waist down. A neighbor called 911 when the children came out of the apartment crying. "All I know is, she didn't deserve it and her kids didn't deserve to see her like that," said, Latoya Arnett, the neighbor who phoned the emergency number. "She was a good mom. Loved her kids to death. I can't imagine my kids seeing me like that. I know it hurt them."
According to Jeff Busby, the father of her children, Bolden contracted HIV a few years ago. He hopes that Dunn "rots in prison" for what he has done. The children are now in the care of Busby.
Dunn is being held on $50,000 bail.
Hackers take down GoDaddy.com and all sites registered with them
Okay, so just in case you were trying to stop by our website and wanted to know why you can't, here's the explanation. Hackers have taken Go Daddy out, and have taken THEURBANADVOCATE.COM down in the process. CBS news reports:
GoDaddy, the domain registrar and Web hosting company, is down, perhaps taking millions of websites down as a result.
"Status Alert: Hey, all. We're aware of the trouble people are having with our site. We're working on it," @GoDaddy tweeted Monday.
While GoDaddy.com's site is up and running, websites hosted by the company are still experiencing outages.
TechCrunch reports that GoDaddy email addresses are down, as well. The blog suggests customers concerned with that their site has been affected can check online status at Down For Everyone Or Just Me.
A quick call to the company's customer service line resulted in a voice message stating that the company is aware of issues involving several services, including web hosting and emails. The company suggest following its Twitter page for updates.
Twitter accounts claiming to be associated with the hacking group Anonymous claimed responsibility for the attack.
"Basically, every GoDaddy site on the planet just crashed," @TibitXimer tweeted.
"#TangoDown - godaddy.com," @AnonOpsLegion tweeted Monday, claiming that the Twitter account @AnonymousOwn3r was responsible for the breach. "TangoDown" is the term that Anonymous generally uses to signify that a website is down.
"By using / supporting Godaddy, you are supporting censorship of the Internet," @AnonOpsLegion tweeted again later.
GoDaddy was the target of protests after it was discovered that the company supported unpopular bills the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect IP Act (PIPA).
GoDaddy did not immediately respond to CBS News' request for comment.
The company's latest tweet reads,"So many messages, can't get to you all... Sorry to hear all your frustration. We're working feverishly to resolve as soon as possible."

Twista wants to help end the killing sprees in his hometown
Chicago has been making headlines this summer for what seems like an endless stream of murders. Twista wants to see a change and is willing to do his part to see it. Allhiphop reports:
The violence in Chicago has been making national news as of late, with an exorbitant amount of people getting shot and killed on their streets everyday. Just last week, 19 people were shot over the weekend and according to the Chicago Tribune, gun violence has soared over 60 percent compared to the same time last year.
Rapper Twista was born and raised in Chicago, and he believes that gang violence is at the epicenter of the rise in homicides.
“The gangs, I hate to say it, but they’re taking it back to the whole vibe of getting into it with each other,” said Twista. “Gangs are going against gangs.”
Twista is on a crusade to save the streets that he grew up in, and believes that creating more youth centers will help give the kids something to do and help “steer them the right way.” To lend a hand in the efforts, Twista plans on opening up his own youth center in the heart of Chi-town.
“We’re trying to do something positive in the city of Chicago, especially now with all of the killings going on, and everybody running wild the way they’re doing.
“I remember growing up in the ‘hood, and there were a lot of people that would have probably been out there doing something bad if they had not have been at a YMCA or some type of club,” Twista recalled.
Lawsuit filed over Playaz Circle
There are two ways to know when you've arrived. One when a bunch of baseless rumors starting circling around about you, the other is when you start raking up lawsuits. Well, 2 Chainz has officially blown up. Allhiphop reports:
Ludacris’ label Distribing Tha Peace and Island Def Jam Music Group have been hit with a civil lawsuit over the use of the name and logo for Playaz Circle, a Hip-Hop group that featured rapper 2Chainz aka Tity Boi and his partner, Dolla Boy.
Torrey Cook filed the lawsuit on August 30, in the United States District Court for the Northern Division of Atlanta.
According to the lawsuit, Torrey Cook is the owner of the Playaz Circle trademark, which marketed the group under the same name as the label.
Cook says he has been using the Playaz Circle name in commerce since 1995, as a consultant to new artists.
The lawsuit claims that Disturbing Tha Peace has released three compilations or albums that included recordings of the group Playaz Circle, the group that featured 2Chainz, prior to his rise to mainstream solo success.
Cook admits that he worked with 2Chainz, born Tauheed Epps and Dolla, born Earl Conyers, as Playaz Circle, but said he never gave the pair permission to use the name and trademark.
“Mr. Cook made it very clear to all involved, at every juncture, that the name Playaz Circle was trademarked and that it belonged exclusively to him,” the lawsuit reads. “Further Mr. Epps and Mr. Conyers confirmed that they understood that the Mark belonged to Mr. Cook.”
It appears that Cook has no issue with 2Chainz or Dolla, since neither of the rappers are named in the lawsuit.
The lawsuit claims that counsel for Torrey Cook attempted to contact Disturbing Tha Peace and Def Jam reps and when they finally reached an agreement, it was never executed, because the reps simply stopped replying.
Disturbing Tha Peace and Island Def Jam are accused of profiting off of the name and logo for Playaz Circle.
Disturbing Tha Peace and Island Def Jam Music Group are being sued for trademark infringement, trademark dilution by blurring and attorney fees.

82 year old woman arrested on burglary charges
You know what they say about teaching an old dog new tricks. Well, this lady is dedicated to the thug life. Hip Hop Wired reports:
Doris Thompson has been unwavering in her commitment to a life of crime. While burglars come from all walks of life, and fall into several different age groups, at 82, Thompson might be among the older repeat offenders.
Thompson has a 21-page rap sheet dating back to 1955, and is showing no signs of slowing down. The elderly woman was arrested in a El Segundo, Calif. motel Thursday (Aug. 30) for a string of burglaries in doctors' offices that allegedly nabbed her $17,000.
Police were able to identify Thompson for the crimes by viewing her on surveillance cameras.
Authorities believe that Thompson visited doctors near Torrance Memorial Medical Center, and hid in the locations until after closing. Once everyone was gone, she came out of hiding, searched for keys to open lock boxes, and grabbed cash.
Having been arrested at least nine times for burglary, at this point the career criminal could care less about doing more prison time. “I'm 80 years old,” she said two years ago, when she pleaded guilty to stealing $1,400 in cash and other items from a medical office. "I don't think I'll ever come back — except I'm going to die and be in the morgue."
Prosecutors said in 2010, that giving her more jail time would do little since burglaries are "her thing."
Last November, Thompson was paroled and let back out onto the streets, where she got back into her old habits.
Thompson says she wouldn't have to resort to breaking the law if the "government gave us more money." She is expected to face charges Tuesday (Sept. 4), and is being held on $80,000 bail.
Terrence J lands the E! News gig
Well, at least we know one of the former hosts of 106 & Park will have a career after leaving the hosting position at BET. Aside from being in a couple of hit movies this year like Think Like A Man and Sparkle, he has officially taking a job at E! permanently. Allhiphop reports:
Terrence J has been announced as the permanent anchor of “E! News,” along with Giuliana Rancic, who has hosted since 2005.
Terrence will replace former host Ryan Seacrest, who left the show earlier this year.
“I’ve always had a passion for the wide spectrum of pop culture that ‘E! News’ covers so well,” Terrence J said in a statement. “I’ve had a great career so far, and it’s all been building towards this.
In May, Terrence J and Rocsi Diaz announced they were leaving the show to pursue other opportunities in the entertainment business.
"The Godmother" gunned down in Columbia
One of the biggest cocaine distributors of the 80's and 90's was gunned down after being deported to her native Columbia. Allhiphop reports:
Griselda Blanco a.k.a. “The Godmother” was gunned down earlier today (September 3) in Medellin, Columbia.
The former drug kingpin was one of the biggest importers of cocaine into the United States in the 1970s and 1980s.
Griselda Blanco was attributed to thousands of murders during the drug wars in Miami in the 1980′s, which were the subject of the critically acclaimed documentary “Cocaine Cowboys.”
According to local reports, assassins on motorcycles unleashed a hail of bullets as Blanco left a butcher shop in the city.
Blanco, 69, was deported to Columbia after spending almost 20 years in prison in the United States, according to the Miami Herald.
Griselda Blanco served the prison time for three murders and drug trafficking.
During her time in prison, three of her four sons were murdered.
The fourth, Michael Corleone Jr. started a Hip-Hop label in Miami.
“My mother always took care of the boys and from there me and my brothers were the head honchos of the family and we told everyone else what it was,” Michael Corleone told AllHipHop.com in 2008. “It was a good upbringing. Christmas came around and I got my first Porsche at six years old.”
Several Hip-Hop artists co-opted The Godmother’s name and fearsome image, including rappers Lil’ Kim and Jacki-O, who beefed over the moniker.
“We started Hip-Hop in Colombia in the mid 80s and early 90s,” Corleone said. “We are the fathers of Hip-Hop [in Columbia].”

Green Mile star passes at age of 54
WOW. This one definitely comes as a shocker. Film star Michael Clarke Duncan has left us today. He's been in some of my favorite films like Friday, Sin City, The Player's Club and Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins. TMZ reports:
Michael Clarke Duncan, star of such movies as "The Green Mile" and "The Whole Nine Yards," passed away this morning. He was 54.
According to our sources, his passing came very suddenly. We're told his fiancee, Omarosa Manigault, was with him in his hospital room in Los Angeles and left for a short period of time. When she returned ... he had died.
Our sources say Omarosa's mother was with him when he passed.
Duncan's rep tells TMZ the actor never fully recovered from the myocardial infarction he suffered on July 13. As TMZ first reported, Omarosa found Duncan in cardiac arrest and performed CPR and was able to resuscitate him before calling 911.
The rep tells us, "[Omarosa] Manigault is grateful for all of your prayers and asks for privacy at this time. Celebrations of his life, both private and public, will be announced at a later date."
Duncan was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of John Coffey in "The Green Mile." He worked as a bodyguard for celebrities like Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Jamie Foxx, LL Cool J, and Notorious B.I.G. before he got his break.
