First of all, as a Christian I must say, I am sincerely disappointed by the ignorance displayed by churches in regards to the homosexual community. Now, I'm not here to advocate homosexuality, but I refuse to advocate hatred toward anyone or any group of people. This church should be ashamed of themselves for using the church as a vehicle to drive ignorance and hatred in the community. Hip Hop Wired reports:
The ATLAH Worldwide Missionary Church out of Harlem have voiced their opinion loud and clear in extremist fashion by accusing the president of releasing "homo demons" into the Black community for white homosexuals to swoop in and steal Mandingo meat from right underneath the Black woman's clutches.
Outside the church, the headlining Billboard reads: "Obama Has Released The Homo Demons On The Black Man. Look Out Black Woman. A White Homo May Take Your Man."
Where race and President Obama fall into the equation of homosexuality is lost on many, including Rochelle Hill, who told NYDailyNews that "It's just appalling It's a poor representation of our neighborhood. It's just hate."
The church's pastor, James David Manning has taken President Obama's policies to task in recent years and rationalized the sign's presence by saying he is simply seeking to preserve the African-American family.
“It's an attempt to save the black family, he told the NYDailyNews "There is a major problem in the black family with the absence of black fathers, black husbands."
