For those that don't know, the drug game is very much alive in the prison system. People have been sneaking drugs in the correctional facilities across the country for years. But this graduate had to try one of the most ridiculous attempts I've ever heard. Hip Hop Wired reports:
The incident took place outside of the G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility in Lansing, Mich. this past Sunday. It appears the man tried to launch the football into the main yard where most of the inmates work out, but his throw came up far too short and landed between a pair of fences. A prison officer witnessed the man making the throw, later discovering it contained heroin, marijuana, three cell phones and tobacco.
The Detroit Free Press has more:
“After observing the passenger exit the vehicle and throw the football, our officer ran towards the vehicle and drew his Taser and told the driver to stop, which he did,” said Russ Marlan, a spokesman for the Michigan Department of Corrections.
Christen Deon-Sterling Moore, 32, is charged with crimes related to delivery of heroin and marijuana and smuggling cell phones to prisoners, Jackson County Prosecutor Jerry Jarzynka said today. Each is a five-year felony. A conference will be held Friday on how to proceed with the case. Moore has been arraigned but it was not clear today whether he is free on bond.
