An aspiring Brooklyn rapper's dreams of rap stardom have been dashed after he was shot dead in Miami last week. Kenneth Casilla, who rapped under the name NuMoney, was killed in M-I-Yayo's Little Haiti neighborhood and his family is looking for answers as to why.
NY1 reports:
"They took my son. Why?" Yvette Casilla said. "What did my son do to them to kill him like that? He was 20 years old."
Yvette says Kenneth went to Florida to further his music career.
"From little, he was talented," she said. "He would dance, rap, play ball."
Investigators with the Miami-Dade Police Department said Kenneth was shot and killed last Saturday night at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Police say the shooting happened in a parking lot by an apartment complex near the intersection of 152nd Street and Sixth Avenue in the Little Haiti section of Miami.
Yvette Casilla said her son was sitting in the passenger seat of a parked car with two other people who have not been identified.
"He was in a car with somebody he knows and another guy in the back, and my son gets shot and nobody else gets shot," she said.So far no arrests have been made and there are no suspects.
