Lupe Fiasco hasn't resolved his issues with Pete Rock over song

There was a short-lived disagreement with Lupe Fiasco and legendary producer, Pete Rock over his new track "Around My Way" which uses Rock's track "They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)". Hip Hop Wired reports:

The short lived feud between Lupe Fiasco and Pete Rock is officially over. Both parties took to social media to announce that they spoke to each other and settled their differences stemming from Lupe Fiasco's latest single, "Around My Way (Freedom Ain't Free)," wholesale sampling Pete Rock & CL Smooth's "They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)" classic.

"I just got off da phone lupe, we worked out our differences and we bout to get it in," tweeted the Chocolate Boy Wonder last night. "Gonna be epic and we gonna give Troy and hev the proper respect they deserve and make history with lupe."

As for Fiasco, he tweeted: "Shout to the Friends&Family for bringing some internal closure to this...all g on this side Pete...Big Chuck whaddup...#MyGodFoRealListen"

Yesterday, Lupe was on Chicago radio and revealed that Pete's disdain for his track took him by surprise because he (or his people) reached out to the producer for his blessing. Now that the two have actually spoken, the prospect of the pair creating a track to honor Troy "Trouble T-Roy" Dixon and Heavy D will have the Hip-Hop world anxiously waiting to hear what these two talents cook up.

***UPDATE***

Apparently, the issue hasn't been resolved. Lupe has just gone left on Pete Rock over the track for "Around My Way." In a phone conversation with Sway, Lupe aired out his grievances. This is Lupe Fiasco like you never heard him before. Peep:
