Max B denied appeal

Some unfortunate news in the case of Max B. The Harlem rapper has been denied an appeal in his murder case. Hip Hop Wired reports:

[T]he Harlem rapper was denied his last ditch appeal and must spend at least the next 30 years in prison, as reported by RapDose. He will not be eligible for parole until November 9, 2042.

Max, born Charlie Wingate, has been in a New Jersey prison since 2009 after he was convicted for his role in a 2006 robbery-homicide where David Taylor was killed. Wingate, who denies his involvement in the incident, was convicted of nine of 11 counts of conspiracy, murder and robbery charges and given a 75-year-sentence. Authorities allege Max sent his ex-girlfriend and stepbrother to rob two men at a New Jersey Holiday Inn. During the robbery, Taylor was shot execution style, and later died.
